Painting the Corners is home to the sports, film, tv and sometimes political commentary and criticism of Max Sussman.
Sussman fell into broadcasting the way most people fall into things: chasing a girl. He got the girl and made her his wife, but in doing so, he stumbled into an industry he’s always secretly wanted to work in. Fresh off performing play-by-play duties for the Langley Events Centre’s online coverage of both the men’s and women’s provincial basketball tournaments, Sussman is continuing his studies in Broadcast Journalism at BCIT.
A jack-of-all-media-trades, Sussman has over a dozen film credits as a location sound recorder and mixer along with a strong portfolio of radio advertisement production. He also has three+ years of work experience as a reporter, editor, layout artist and typographer for various print media outlets. Also a budding filmmaker, he has directed several music and has a film-noir web-series in development. He currently writes about Mixed-Martial-Arts for bonesnapper.com and mmajunkie.com while freelancing as a media relations advisor for local artists. Sussman holds a BFA in Screenwriting and a BA in Comparitive History from the University of Victoria. He is currently studying Radio Arts and Entertainment at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Painting the Corners was founded on January 27, 2012 as a way to combat boredom.
